چکیده

In this paper, a geometric shortest path problem in weighted regions is discussed. An arrangement of lines A, a source s, and a target t are given. The objective is to find a weighted shortest path, πst, from s to t. Existing approximation algorithms for weighted shortest paths work within bounded regions (typically triangulated). To apply these algorithms to unbounded regions, such as arrangements of lines, there is a need to bound the regions. Here, we present a minimal region that contains πst, called SP-Hull of A. It is a closed polygonal region that only depends on the geometry of the arrangement A and is independent of the weights. It is minimal in the sense that for any arrangement of lines A, it is possible to assign weights to the faces of A and choose s and t such that πst is arbitrary close to the boundary of SP-Hull of A. We show that SP-Hull can be constructed in O(n logn) time, where n is the number of lines in the arrangement. As a direct consequence we obtain a shortest path algorithm for weighted arrangements of lines.

An Iterated Greedy Algorithm for Flexible Flow Lines with Sequence Dependent Setup Times to Minimize Total Weighted Completion Time

This paper explores the flexile flow lines where setup times are sequence- dependent. The optimization criterion is the minimization of total weighted completion time. We propose an iterated greedy algorithm (IGA) to tackle the problem. An experimental evaluation is conducted to evaluate the proposed algorithm and, then, the obtained results of IGA are compared against those of some other exist...

Scheduling of Multiple Autonomous Guided Vehicles for an Assembly Line Using Minimum Cost Network Flow

This paper proposed a parallel automated assembly line system to produce multiple products having multiple autonomous guided vehicles (AGVs). Several assembly lines are configured to produce multiple products in which the technologies of machines are shared among the assembly lines when required. The transportation between the stations in an assembly line (intra assembly line) and among station...

Yield Comparison and Determining the Best Harvesting Time of Different Rapeseed (Brassica napus L.) Lines as the Second Crop in Rotation after Rice in Guilan Region

The pod drop and seed losses in rapeseed is one of the most important problems in the cultivation of this plant and determining the most appropriate harvesting time can greatly prevent this problem and subsequently reduce the grain yield reduction. Thus, the present research was conducted as a split-plot in time in the form of a randomized complete block design with three replications during th...

Two Equivalent Presentations for the Norm of Weighted Spaces of Holomorphic Functions on the Upper Half-plane

Introduction In this paper, we intend to show that without any certain growth condition on the weight function, we always able to present a weighted sup-norm on the upper half plane in terms of weighted sup-norm on the unit disc and supremum of holomorphic functions on the certain lines in the upper half plane. Material and methods We use a certain transform between the unit dick and the uppe...

Estimation of New Weighted Controlled Switching Overvoltage by RBFN Model

Mitigating switching overvoltages (SOVs) and conducting well-suited insulation coordination for handling stresses are very important in UHV transmission Lines. The best strategy in the absence of arresters is controlled switching (CS). Although elaborate works on electromagnetic transients are considered in the process of designing transmission systems, such works are not prevalent in day-to-da...
